DJ Sullivan is HSG Advisors’ Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director of Data Analytics. He drives the strategy behind HSG’s growth as a data analytics and advisory firm while guiding his team in delivering industry-leading Claims Data Analytics (CDA) services across multiple frameworks. DJ pioneered the development of HSG Dashboard, an interactive data and information delivery system for clients. HSG Dashboard aggregates proprietary all-payer claims data, third-party data, and health system data into an intuitive and nimble decision-making tool that informs organization-specific, market-specific, and service-specific data for its clients. He and his team partner with healthcare leaders to interpret and operationalize the information with HSG’s consulting and advisory services. DJ’s team’s focus is simplifying data sets so they are actionable and guide healthcare executives’ decisions in outpatient and ambulatory growth, physician recruitment and success planning, service line development, and competitive dynamics.
DJ has spent his entire career in healthcare. Prior to HSG, he worked in acute and post-acute healthcare settings and developed client relationships with academic, state, and critical-access hospitals nationwide. DJ holds a Bachelor of Science in pre-medicine from Brigham Young University, and two master’s degrees: a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration, both from the University of Utah. DJ is an in-demand speaker who regularly presents at industry and association conferences. He is an active member of the Society for Health Care Strategy & Market Development and Medical Group Management Association and works closely with state hospital associations in multiple states. In 2023, DJ was honored for his leadership by Becker’s Hospital Review as one of its “Emerging leaders: 37 healthcare company leaders under 40.”
