Why develop a shared vision? Isn’t it easier for a leader to create his/her own vision and then just tell everyone where the organization is going? Assuredly it’s easier, but creating a vision in isolation and dictating it to subordinates may result in the vision not being fully embraced by the organization and, therefore, not as successful as it should be.
