In this webinar, healthcare leaders will discuss how to overcome frequent gaps in health system and network integration and review the key capabilities networks must develop to create long-term financial and operational success.
Travis Ansel and Dr. Terry McWilliams, co-authors of Health Administration Press’ Employed Physician Networks: A Guide to Building Strategic Advantage, Value, and Financial Sustainability, will facilitate this 30-minute webinar. Their focus will be on diagnosing physician network challenges and building plans of action to address those challenges.

Travis Ansel, HSG Managing Partner
As managing partner, Travis is responsible for leading operations and strategic direction with full accountability for the firm’s bottom-line performance.
Travis has a strong track record of generating revenue growth and growing market share for hospitals, health systems, and employed physician networks. He also has extensive experience in developing and deploying enterprise-level strategy, physician network strategy and manpower planning, employed physician group strategy and helping hospitals with the evolution towards value-based reimbursement.
With more than 11 years with HSG, Travis’s focus has been in developing innovative and effective consulting frameworks to help their client health system executive teams build and implement strategy. He has been responsible for the successful completion of 200-plus+ projects for acute care regional and tertiary non-profit and for-profit hospitals/health systems, critical access hospitals, and payers.
Dr. Terry McWilliams, HSG Chief Clinical Consultant
Terry’s professional career started in the Navy as the result of a medical school scholarship program. He intended to leave the Navy as soon as he was eligible but ended up staying for more than 20 years due to the full scope of clinical practice experience. His Naval career afforded the opportunity to practice in many environments, including remote locations, and to experience progressive clinical administration responsibilities, including leading multi-specialty clinical operations and physician-hospital alignment initiatives.
After retiring from Naval service, he spent a decade as the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Newport Hospital, a non-teaching community hospital within a larger academic health system. As CMO, he supervised the Medical Staff Services Office and was additionally responsible for quality of care/patient safety/risk management, clinical information systems, physician recruitment, and clinical service line development. At the system level, he was involved in creating system-wide medical staff bylaws, spearheading various clinical IT projects, and contributing to broad-based performance improvement efforts.
Terry received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and completed family medicine residency in the Navy. He completed a Master of Science in Jurisprudence in Hospital and Health Law from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2015 and has since gained additional proficiency in patient centered care delivery models and population health management from Jefferson University
