HSG was fortunate to present a Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Educational Session in March 2022 to a very large and engaged audience of 250 live attendees and over 500 registrants. Proper dashboards are critical to equip decision-makers with metric-drive data to inform operational and strategic decisions. This session dives in appropriate dashboards for different organizational stakeholders.

Many challenges have emerged with the growth of physician employment by health systems. Losses on employed physician networks have steadily risen to the point of threatening hospital bottom lines. However, hospitals have been willing to invest this money, as it brought community access, ED coverage and ensured market viability. Health systems also realize that by building their employed network, they are investing in capabilities to improve quality by better coordinating care and managing risk contracts over the long term. Unfortunately, many health systems still lack a sophisticated understanding of the root cause of the losses within their network. This session will provide attendees a framework to effectively build and implement appropriate practice management dashboard reporting, allowing practice leaders to pinpoint these losses and move forward successfully
